Education is the key to Tanzania’s future

Whether kindergarten, bush school for students or teacher training: We are committed to the (environmental) education of children in the region below Kilimanjaro.

We have laid an important foundation for this with our eco-children’s center. The environmental education projects begin with the youngest children, who are already learning about and protecting Tanzania’s great nature in our Roots&Shoots Forest Club in collaboration with the internationally renowned Jane Godall’s Institute.

In the morning, around 30 small children are looked after in one of the first kindergartens in the region. In the afternoons every year around 3,000 students from the region are taught about environmental topics and on weekends around 250 teachers from the region around Moshi receive further training in environmental education.

The following applies to everything: We learn from and for nature.
The knowledge is prepared in an age-appropriate manner and taught by local educators. We also enable older students to attend secondary schools with scholarships.
